During the Rotarian year 2004-05, the Rotaract Club of Beirut obtained 4 Awards:

2 Official Awards at the Rotaract District Convention in Cyprus: Best International Committee and Best Awareness’ Campaign.

1 Official Award from the Association for Volunteer Services (AVS)

1 Official Award from the Beirut International Marathon Association

Fashion show ME:

Purposes:
Celebrate Centennial of Rotary International and the 20th birthday of the Rotaract Club of Beirut          Promote fashion and design by promoting 15 Lebanese talented young Fashion Designers...

 


 
FRANCO PHOENIX
 

Purpose: Promoting Lebanese university students in art and design. Exhibiting their work in UNESCO Palace with media coverage. Making them work on the Theme: International Day of Francophonie on March 21st. Letting them know what Rotaract and Rotary can do for them...



MUSIC IN ME
 

Date: 19 November 2004
Place: Saint Joseph church (Beirut)
This event was organized in full collaboration and partnership with the Rotary Club of Beirut and Mr. Frans Wolfkamp, Director of “music in me” international (Music in Middle East), a Dutch Organization...

     
 
NOOR EL HAYAT
 

Background: Noor El Hayat is a non- governmental association that takes care of adolescents whose age varies between six to eighteen years and who were sexually or physically abused mainly by their own families. Noor El Hayat welcomes them on court orders, or according to application forms and offers them a new home, an education and a special treatment personalized according to their cases.

TSUNAMI AFTERMATH
 

  • Date: From Jan 15, ongoing.
  • Place: The Sri Lanki Embassy, Lebanon.
  • Joint project with AVS, (Association for Volunteer Services).
Fact: After Tsunami Disaster, an Amnesty was voted in Lebanon for all illegal workers of Sri Lanki and Indian nationalities in order to help them evacuate the country and search for missing parents: The Amnesty was only valid for 10 days:

DIVE INTO 2005
 

Date: From 30 Dec. till 2 Jan 2005
Place: Mount Smash Hotel, (Faraya)
Joint Project with Beirut Cosmopolitan Rotaract Club.
Number of Foreign Attendees: Jordanian, Egyptians Rotaractors (23 members) and 2 Dutch DRR’s.
