A Pace to peace”

Joint with Rotaract Kasr El Nile and Rotaract El Tahrir

Launched in 2006, “A Pace To Peace” is a short film production whose objective is to convey a message of peace globally. It is the chance for each Rotaractor around the world to express freely what the word “peace” means to him/her and it’s an opportunity to make more room in this world for self expression. What is interesting to explore is how the word “peace” can be interpreted by an Egyptian Rotaractor in comparison with a Romanian Rotaractor etc... As this word can have so many explanations at a personal level, in society or even in a country, “peace” is a factor of so many factors related to being. Throughout this short film documentary, “court métrage”, the public audience will discover a film telling the stories of people, of countries, of universal matters. The movie is not only educational and informative but it’s also a message addressing a particular issue and calling for action .

Purpose:
- A new concept interactive, informative and creative that allows self expression and freedom of speech.

- A cultural interaction, a film documentary that portrays people in different societies, addresses important issues and calls for action.

- Help Rotaract International tackle community problems at large and plan for action through joint efforts and global projects.

- Help us understand community better ours and other community as well.

- A joint international project beyond borders and districts .

“A Pace To Peace” will see the light in all the participating countries at the same time during a Peace Festival on Feb 23ird, 2006 Being the Rotary International Day for Peace.
