Iftar with 100 kids

- Satisfy the hunger of 100 kids.
- Support the 100 kids in their Back to School stationary.

How beautiful it is to contribute to feed an orphan or a hungry child? How beautiful it is to be the source of a warm smile on a child’s face? It was that beautiful feeling of thinking of others and serving beyond self that The Rotaract Club of Beirut members insisted to have through fully sponsoring on their personal expense the Iftar of 100 kids in Hardees- Raouche and offering gifts to each child so they always remember them with.
All club members gathered on Wednesday October 18, 2006 at 5:30 pm to welcome the kids of the Association of children development and assist them in their seating. Rotaractors made sure to have all meals prepared before iftar so no hungry stomach will stay empty. After we finished the iftar and just before playing time starts, Rotaractors distributed to each child a gift package including a big funky pen, a note book and an eraser. The gifts were specially chosen to assist the students in their back to school stationary. After the gift distribution, children ran to the playground to enjoy the attractions tailored just for them with the supervision of rotaractors. Children returned to their center with a big smile on their faces, great memories in their minds, and a bag of souvenirs to remind them of Us all through their school year where as Rotaractors returned to their homes all filled with joy and happiness from making the day of a child in need.
