Iftar To Lebanese Orphans

Date: 23rd October 2005

-Celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with young orphans, girls and boys from Dar Al Aytam Al Eslamiyah, around an Iftar table at Hardees Raouche.

-Promote humanitarian and communication skills as well as a sense of responsibility within the rotaract family and towards under privileged children.

-Bring joy and a smile to the children’s faces, to make them feel a part of society and of our rotaract family. -Enhance communication and amicable ties between the children and us, thus creating an atmosphere of friendliness, modesty and compassion.

-Showing a group interest in their situation and communicating hope by projecting the Outside as a good place to live in. Details:

-The children’s ages ranged between 10 and 12 years, most of them were deaf or mute, 12 girls and 8 boys.

-The children broke their fasting around 6pm while we were communicating with them in signs or gestures with the assistance of their supervisors. Then the children played in groups in the playground area; with play stations and other games.
