Purpose:
Promoting Lebanese university students in art and design.
Exhibiting their work in UNESCO Palace with media coverage.
Making them work on the Theme: International Day of
Francophonie on March 21st. Letting them know
what Rotaract and Rotary can do for them

Participants: (30 students from the 10 major
universities): 17 students presented their work because of
the assassination of the Lebanese Prime Minister.
Attendees: 150 persons on the opening. 90% of Beirut
Rotaract Club present. 100% of the other Rotaract Club of
Lebanon were represented at the opening ceremony.
Details:

A jury consisting of seven
select members from different art categories
(including the Minister of Culture representative and the
director of the Agence Univesitaire de la Francophonie, from
the French Ambassy) voting for the best ten projects.

Award distribution to the
first ten winners including 2 return tickets for Greece.

Exhibition sustained for a
week open to the public & media.
Media:

600 Posters hanging in all
Lebanon (universities, hotel, malls, libraries) and 1000
awareness Brochures distributed including the details of the
projects and an overview on Rotaract principles.

2 TV reportage on main TV
stations (NBN, New TV) including one 30 minutes Interview
with the President of the Club:

Several press releases
including three press releases in L’orient Le Jour,
Francophone number 1 newspapers, Mondanite magazine and many
others.
Special Remark:
This project was successfully conducted
till the end, under the enormous pressure of having
everything cancelled because of the political assassination
of the Lebanese Prime Minister.
