1: HELPING 138 PERSONS (23 families) FROM THE MOST
DEFAVORISED COMMUNITTEE IN BEIRUT:
- Date: 18 Dec. 2004
- Place: Beit Azraa Al Fokaraa
(House of Virgin for poor): Lowest income area in
Beirut.
- Attendees: 80% of Rotaract Club of
Beirut and 1 Rotarian from another Rotary, (Kesrouan)
- Target: Helping 23 families
chosen by the club for their extreme deprived situation
in an excessively underprivileged area.
- Event:
1: Full Food supply packages distribution (weighting 8
kilos of goods each) for 23 families (138 persons) of
all religions and colors.
2: Mugs (with the Rotaract Logo on) sweets and gift
distribution to 40 kids of these families by Santa Clause.
3: Design, Construction and
installation of a “Wall Library” in the Virgin’s House: Not
only we would be feeding these 138 persons, but this should
help in enhancing their civic spirit by learning to borrow a
book from this library and give it back later without real
surveillance from a supervisor. |
